Your full-day tour of the Sea-to-Sky corridor begins with morning pickup from select hotels in Vancouver. A friendly guide will welcome you aboard the private coach and set off across Lion’s Gate Bridge into the rocky wilderness. Cruise along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, soaking up views of coastal mountains and Howe Sound speckled with unspoiled islands.
After about 36 miles (56 km), you’ll pass through the coastal town of Horseshoe Bay and break at Shannon Falls Provincial Park. Stretch your legs with a 10-minute trail walk through the forest until you reach the falls. From the lookout deck, watch BC’s third tallest waterfall cascade 1,100 feet (335 meters) into a chilly pool.
From there, head to the Sea-to-Sky Gondola, where you'll ride up to the vista point perched 2,900 feet (885 meters) above sea level. From this epic viewpoint, you’ll have 360-degree views of Howe Sound, Shannon Falls and the undulating mountain ranges that border the area. Enjoy some free time to take a trail walk, stroll across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, fuel up at the Summit Restaurant (own expense) or get cozy in the lodge.
When you’ve seen enough at the top of the world, head into some of the earth’s bountiful caverns on a tour of the Britannia Mine Museum. Back in the coach, you’ll cruise to tranquil town of Britannia Beach, a 19th-century hotspot for copper mining and National Historic Site. Here, you’ll have the option to tour the mine, pan for gold and view historic exhibits before the leisurely ride back to Vancouver.
Your 7-hour excursion concludes back at your departure point in the evening.
