Meet your guide bright and early at Shinjuku, then travel by coach to the scenic Kanagawa Prefecture, southwest of the Japanese capital.
Your first stop is the Sengokuhara Pampas Grass Fields (susuki in Japanese). Take in views of Mt. Hakone and the changing colors of fall, and admire the silvery-gold landscape as you wander along the tall grass trails. Hop back on the coach, where a Japanese box-lunch will be provided on route to your next stop.
Arrive in Owakudani and spend some time exploring its seismic landscape. Explore the crater or indulge in the famous black eggs boiled in the local hot springs. Then, board the ropeway to Togendai, this 16-minute journey provides panoramic views of Owakudani and the rising plumes of the volcanic activity here.
Alight at Togendai and take a brief stroll to Kojiri Port. Here you'll board a sightseeing cruise across Lake Ashi. Keep your camera ready as you enjoy unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji from the crystal clear waters. Disembark at Hakone Port where your coach will be waiting for you.
Stop in Odawara, where you'll be able to indulge in some retail therapy, before traveling to Kamakura. Enjoy two hours of free time to explore the city. Hop between the Daibutsu (Giant Buddha), Hasdera Temple, and Sagami Bay, or soak in the atmosphere of Komachi-dori Street. This pretty avenue is packed full of intriguing stores and enticing cafes.
Finally, hop back aboard your coach and relax as you're dropped off back in Tokyo.
