Your tour begins with pickup from your Tianjin hotel in time for a 9am departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private chauffeured vehicle, set out to explore the Five Great Avenues, a picturesque residential area famed for its European-style architecture and numerous celebrity and politician residents. As you admire the beautiful buildings, learn how the five streets are named after five of southwest China’s major cities – Chongqing, Changde, Dali, Munan, and Machang.
Next, head into the old French Concession area to visit the Porcelain House. Take a moment to admire its elaborate façade, adorned with a magnificent collage of porcelain, white marble, and crystal, then head inside to browse the impressive collection of ancient Chinese porcelain.
After pausing to enjoy lunch (included) at a local restaurant, follow your guide down Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street, where you’ll have plenty of time to browse the art galleries and artisan shops; shop for traditional handicrafts such as batik fabrics and clay figurines; and sample tasty street foods (own expense). Don’t miss a visit to the striking Temple of the Queen of Heaven.
Finish your explorations with the best view in the city — from the top of the Tianjin Eye. Hop aboard for an unforgettable ride on the 394-foot (120-meter) high Ferris Wheel, and soar over the Hai River, enjoying spectacular views that span the entire city.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 5pm.
