Find your way to the Sapphire Beach Resort Marina on St Thomas in the morning.
Board your 65-foot (20-meter) ship, a single-mast sailboat with dual sails. Find a spot to relax on deck and enjoy a provided muffin for breakfast as the boat leaves St Thomas' waters and sails through Red Hook Bay to St John. Meet your captain and friendly crew, then watch the picturesque scenery glide by and feel the Virgin Islands breeze in your hair.
When you reach a perfect snorkel spot, your captain drops anchor. The white sand islet is surrounded by some of St John's most vibrant protected reefs. Slip on your provided mask, snorkel and flippers and jump in to the turquoise water. See sergeant majors and angelfish darting around you while you swim through reefs dotted with fan coral and elkhorn coral. Look for stingrays and sea turtles, not uncommon sights in the area.
After your first snorkeling session, climb back aboard and enjoy a delicious lunch buffet, including an open bar. See the Itinerary section for a sample menu.
After lunch, head for your second snorkel stop near another serene, secluded island. Grab your snorkel, fins and mask again and spend some more time exploring St John's underwater world.
While heading back to the marina, enjoy another complimentary cocktail or basking in the sun. Your day trip of sailing and snorkeling ends when your boat arrives at the dock.
