This was a great tour , enjoyed both by myself and my wife, very informative without being over awed by to many facts and figures. We would do this again if we ever visit Rome again. Good value for money
The hop on hop off bus puts you close to the most important sites in Rome. The audio tour gives great information on the monuments and historical buildings. This is a perfect tour for taking your time while learning about the history of the city.
Best way to get around the city and see all the interesting sites. Traffic is horrendous and strongly suggest NOT getting a rental car!!!! Hop on Hop off is the most stress free and economical way to navigate the city!!!
Easy to use to see Rome's treasures! We used the 48-Hour which gave us plenty of time to see everything and save us some walking, too.
We generally get on a hop on/hop off bus whenever we go to a new destination. This tour involved using ear buds for the tour information. I did find that very useful as it cuts down on other passengers conversations interfering with hearing the tour guide. I felt the problem here was that the automated guide did not always match up with the location you were at due to traffic concerns. The tour itself was very useful for giving us an excellent feel for where we would further venture throughout our 4 day stay. Thank you.
This was one of my first tours. I thought it would be a great idea to ride around Rome to get familiar with the city before adventuring out.
This is the perfect way to visit all the sites in Rome. The full trip takes around 2 HR because of heavy traffic.
Many stops in prime locations. Best way to sightsee and spend as long as you want at the sites.
Very nice and interesting.Very convenient stops, close to the sightseeing spot. Very friendly staff
I pre Booked my Rome Hop On Hop Off sightseeing Tour 74 Sept 2018 prices that includes free entrance to Vatican Museum Sistine Chapel , plus Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and Colosseum ..
And it works BRILLIANTLY . So easy to book and to use .
Go on the first day of your tour and not before because the vouchers will start as soon as you get onto the bus . A person will give you a Bus Ticket with a Barcode on it , This is your ticket to get on and off the bus , next a Voucher for the Vatican , To redeem this you get off at the stop for the Vatican Museum , Cross over the bridge , Turn left towards a White building where the City Sightseeing Auditorium Visitor Center is , A person will ask , What time you wish to visit the Vatican , They will then print out another timed voucher , with your time on it that you stated . To get into the museum , Follow the crowds or go towards St Peter Basilica , Turn right and go under a arch and follow sign for museum entrance . Dont queue , just carry on to the GROUP entrance barrier , A person will let you in Go to the ticket barrier and a person will give you a ticket to get into the museum .
For the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and Colosseum , Go to the entrance of The Roman Forum first , A person will give you a timed ticket for the Colosseum , You cannot get into the Colosseum until after 2-30pm .So maybe make a day of it visiting Forum , Hill and Colosseum ?
The buss route is on a loop , And the historical sites have numbered stops , 8 stops on route , You cannot go back to the starting point Rome Termini So if you get off at the Colosseum no3 , the bus will then take you to no4 Circo Massimo and so on .
the busses are every 20 mins , Depending on traffic. Its a great way of seeing Rome and its surrounding areas .And it will take you to all of the Historical sites there is to see ..
I recommend this tour ..
