While en route you’ll have time to observe the region’s unique plant life and its rural communities. When you arrive on the Peninsula, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the local burial towers (called “Chullpas”) as you learn about the belief system of the ancient Pukara Culture. The design was so popular that even the Inca people, who conquered the Pukara in the 15th century, adopted its use.
