Escape Paris for the day to see the French countryside through the eyes of one of the most celebrated Impressionist painters of all time. Meet your local guide and collect your rental bike near the Gare Saint-Lazare train station in central Paris, and hop aboard a train to the charming Normandy town of Vernon. From here, ride your bike along an easy, 2.5-mile (4-km) route that follows the Seine River to Giverny. Stop along the way to visit local points of interest like the Vernon windmill, Château des Tourelles and the Giverny Church, where Monet is buried.
In Giverny, visit the home where Monet lived and painted for 43 years. Tour the main residence, preserved much as the painter left it, and walk through his famous Japanese-style gardens that inspired iconic works like the Water Lilies series.
