Meet up with your group in the morning at the Esca underground shopping mall at the JR Nagoya Taikodoriguchi (west) station exit. You’ll proceed on the rest of your adventure aboard a coach bus which will transport you between locations. Spend two-and-a-half hours driving to reach the first site, Hida Takayama.

Upon arrival in Hida Takayama, start the trip by enjoying an included lunch of Japanese “shabu-shabu” (hot pot). This warming meal, prepared using local “Hida Beef,” will help sustain you as you brave the chilly temperatures encountered during the rest of the trip. Guests who will require a non-beef meal should make arrangements with the operator at least seven days before departure.

Leave the restaurant behind and then expore Hida Takayama by bus. You’ll have 90-minutes to get off your transport and explore the charming atmosphere of a city locals call “Little Kyoto” on foot. After finishing your time in Hida Takayama, climb back onto the bus and head to Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage site that’s renowed for its traditional-style Japanese farmhouses. Learn about the “Gassho-zukuri” (prayer hand roof) construction method used to prepare these unique buildings and spend the next 70 minutes exploring town independently.

You’ll finish the trip by returning to Nagoya aboard your coach transport, after which you’ll be dropped off at your original departure point.
