  • Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech at night

Meet a guide at 6pm at your centrally-located Marrakech hotel, then travel to the district of Mellah for the first stop of the evening, a café known for it’s Moroccan pancakes. Watch the chef prepare several varieties, including msemen and harcha, then sample the locally-beloved treats.
Continue to a nearby spice market to learn the aromatic building blocks of Moroccan cuisine, and sample warm bread fresh from a traditional oven. Hear stories about the old fashioned sweets that are served at weddings and religious festivities, then step into a pastry shop to try the flavorful desserts.
Walk into the bustling stalls of Jemaa el-Fnaa to sample olives in the small olive souk and see how a méchoui maker prepares the spit-roasted whole lamb or sheep in a pit oven (and taste a few morsels of the flavorful meat). Sample harira soup and dates at one of the square’s small restaurants, then dig into a traditional terra cotta pot of tangia, a thick, local stew. Finish the night with a cup of spiced tea in the square before drop-off at your hotel.

The tour wasn't exactly as described and was a little pricey for the experience. That having been said, we did try a variety of foods at the different stalls (some that we may have overlooked otherwise). The food was good and we didn't get sick.
