What You Can Expect

Viator VIP: Grand Canyon Sunset Helicopter Tour with Dinner

Viator VIP: Grand Canyon Sunset Helicopter Tour with Dinner

At the designated time, your luxury Mercedes van will pick you up from your Las Vegas hotel and transfer you to Boulder City.

Hop aboard your state-of-the-art helicopter with large viewing windows for optimal sightseeing. Receive a safety briefing and orientation, then put on the provided radio headset that allows for 2-way communications while in the air.

Then relax as your helicopter lifts off and heads to the Grand Canyon, passing over incredible scenery as you fly for about 35 minutes one-way. Hear your pilot's commentary as you soar over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. When you reach the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, your pilot will land at a Native American site that belongs to the Hualapai Nation. There, enjoy a lavish dinner outdoors. This VIP experience features an elegant dinner spread with silverware, linen tablecloths, fine china, and flowers.

Sit down to a gourmet meal of your choosing (sample menu below), and sip Champagne with your fellow travelers as you admire the changing colors of the canyon walls while the sun sets.

After dinner, which includes about one hour on the ground at the Grand Canyon, board your helicopter for your return flight. You'll still have time to go out on the town when your tour ends after the transfer back to your Las Vegas hotel.

Please note: Specific seats cannot be requested. Due to safety and balance, seating is determined by the local operator based on the total weight of the aircraft. There is a maximum capacity of six people per helicopter plus your pilot, this is NOT a private flight. You'll have approximately 1-hour landing. Total tour duration is inclusive of hotel pickup and drop-off.

What a bucket list item. Transport collected us from our hotel and took us the the airport outside Vegas. We were all weighed and given pre flight briefing before being taken to the helicopter.

Strapped into our seats and given headphones so we could listen to the pilot.

Took off and pilot gave us a running commentary all the way to the Grand Canyon. Once the helicopter landed the pilot explained what was going to happen and gave us free time to wander around whilst he prepared everything.

We landed in the bottom of the canyon and then the 6 of us ate a wonderful 3course meal with wine, beer and coffee whilst watching the sun lower.

When everyone had finished and the pilot had cleared everything away it was time to take off. This was perfectly time so you could see the sunset. Whilst flying back to the airport the pilot played lots of flying type music such as Top Gun whilst weaving in and out of the hills.

Highly recommended.

Memories of a lifetime. This was by far the best thing we have ever done and we will do this again! Mika was an absolute awesome pilot and tour guide. He made the trip more memorable and we are grateful. And this is the first thing I've checked off my Bucket List!

It was a first class experience, from the hotel pickup in a luxury van, to the sprightly ladies behind the counter. The meals were good, though the beef dish was a little salty, and they were very generous with the serving, and with drinks too. The helicopter ride itself was phenomenal.

We were very fortunate to get Mike Mad Dog Davis as our pilot. What an amazing person, entertaining and chock full of educated information on the Grand Canyon, demonstrating a genuine love of the natural beauty of the incredible place. He planned an amazing soundtrack, timed perfectly according to the view and the sunset. One hour after our helicopter ride, we're back at the hotel watching the video of our tour, reliving the experience while downloading the music Mad Dog had played in the helicopter.

I would recommend this tour to everyone, its well worth the cost and beats taking a bus tour of the Grand Canyon!
