After pickup from your central Istanbul hotel, travel by air-conditioned minivan to a jetty on the Bosphorus Strait, the waterway that divides the city’s European and Asian sides. Remember to bring walking shoes and sun cream, and a bathing suit and towel if you wish to swim during your trip.
Step aboard your comfortable sightseeing boat and while it's docked, sit down to an enticing Turkish lunch including meze (small, savory bites) and grilled chicken, all served on board. Drinks are available to purchase (additional cost) on the boat.
Relax over your meal, and then soak in the views as your boat sets sail along the strait. As you cruise, view landmarks such as the Rumeli Hisarı Fortress, Galata Tower, and Bosphorus Bridge from the water, and relish the pleasant breezes.
Cruise further north along the Bosphorus, watching as Istanbul’s suburbs melt into waterfront towns and villages. Then, have your camera ready as your boat enters the waters of the Black Sea, the vast inland sea bordered by Turkey and countries such as Bulgaria and Russia.
If the weather is good, stop for an optional swim at the pretty fishing village of Poyrazköy, whose beach fringes a wooded bay. Otherwise, your captain will steer a course to Anadolu Kavağı, a picturesque stop crowned by a medieval hilltop castle. Admire views of the ruined fortification and take a stroll if you wish.
Back aboard, relax and enjoy more of Istanbul’s sights as you cruise back to Kabataş. Disembark here before finishing your experience with a hotel drop-off.
