After early morning pickup from your hotel in Istanbul, you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir.
When the one-hour flight lands, a driver transfers you to Cappadocia to meet your guide. In the morning, travel in a climate-controlled minivan to discover the fairy chimneys and other rock formations of the Dervrent Valley (Imagination Valley), then head to a traditional pottery workshop in Avanos, a town that has produced terra cotta ceramics since 3,000 BC.
Relax during lunch at a Turkish restaurant, then continue to the Goreme Open Air Museum. Goreme was an important Christian center in the early Middle Ages, and still contains a number of cave monasteries and churches that you can visit.
Next, stop in Uchisar, a town in the middle of Cappadocia that features an towering rock that was once used as a castle. From the highest peak in the area, view the scenic Cappadocia landscape and Erciyes (Argeus) Mountain.
Your tour ends with transfer to the Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your late evening return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, you are picked up from the airport and transferred back to your hotel.
