Begin with a 9:30am Cappadocia hotel pickup or, if you upgrade for a shared hot air balloon ride, at 4am.
If the latter, travel to the launch site, board your hot air balloon, and ascend into the skies for spectacular views over Cappadocia’s mountains and valleys.
Then, start your tour of Cappadocia’s highlights. Hop inside an air-conditioned vehicle with an art historian guide, and travel first to the Devrent Valley. See why it's nicknamed Imagination Valley for its bizarrely shaped pinnacles and fairy chimneys, and learn how the formations have been weather-eroded through the millennia.
Continue to Pasabag, also known as Monks Valley, and see its famous three-headed fairy chimneys where Christian monks once carved out hermit homes and churches.
From here, travel to the pottery village of Avanos on the Kizikirmak River. Watch potters working their traditional kick wheels, and after lunch at a local restaurant, visit the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum.
Tour the museum’s fresco-painted Byzantine cave-churches, some dating to the 3rd century, and then continue to the Esentepe viewpoint.
Absorb the panoramas over Göreme from here before making a final stop at Uchisar Castle, the highest point in the Göreme region.
Your tour then finishes with a hotel drop-off.
