Board your coach in Florence, and travel into the hills of Tuscany where the city of Siena awaits. Opt to take a guided tour of the city with a visit to Siena Cathedral to admire its renowned Gothic architecture. Or, make the most of some free time to set your own pace, and perhaps enjoy a coffee in the sun alongside the locals.
From Siena, return to the Tuscan countryside to explore the Chianti wine region. Stretch your legs with a stroll through a vineyard, olive grove and wine cellar, and refuel with a Tuscan winery lunch. As you sit surrounded by the grape vines, meet other visitors to the area and indulge in local treats such as cold cuts of meat, salad, pasta and fresh bread. Even better, a wine tasting takes place at the same time.
After lunch, journey onward to San Gimignano with its medieval towers, cobbled streets and squares. Explore the town’s historic center, cool down with a refreshing gelato and wander amid the 14 towers as you learn about their history.
Travel from San Gimignano to Pisa: your final stop of the day. Follow your guide to Cathedral Square to discover Pisa Duomo, Pisa Baptistry, the monumental cemetery (aka Camposanto) and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Return to Florence in the early evening, and finish your Tuscany tour with a drop-off at the start point.
Angela was amazing! Funny and knowledgeable and charming! Wonderful food and wine - we feel we got our moneys worth in every way!

This was a fun day of sightseeing around Tuscany. Although we had fog and rainy drizzle all day, we loved what we could see. The lunch in the vineyard was wonderful. When we got to Pisa, the sun came out and we got a rainbow in the background of the Leaning Tower. Marvelous day!
Highly recommend this tour everything ran very smoothly our timed tickets for the Leaning Tower of Pisa, for instance, were at the end of the day, avoiding the crowds and had plenty of time to see the cathedral and take photos below. Ale, our guide, was wonderful. He really tries to get to know everyone I ended up running into him a few days later in Bologna where he was leading another tour and he still remembered me. The lunch is basically open bar which makes it very worthwhile.
Sara was wonderful. She made the trip very enjoyable. The tour was well organized and had the right combination of activities. We were impressed and recommend this tour highly.
We had a wonderful time on our Tuscany tour with Belen. Incredible trip to some wonderful areas. We visited Sienna, San Gimingano, Pisa. Had a wonderful lunch at an organic farm and winery. Worth every penny. Awesome trip, highly recommended. : )
Could have left Pisa out of this tour. Sienna and San Gimignano were beautiful. Our tour guide, Beaven was pleasant and just the right balance of talking and quiet.
My wife and I enjoyed this tour. It's a full day but gives you just enough time to visit Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa along with a great lunch at a winery. We were welcomed by our amazing guide from the day before Sara. She remembered who we were and greeted us with a hug, we were so happy to be part of her tour group again. She was very knowledgeable and funny when giving us the history of everything as we went along. She also was able to give us the best kept secrets of each town and where to go if there was anything specific you were looking for. She told us about the best gelato place in San Gimignano and it was honestly the best gelato we have ever had. Lastly we ended up in Pisa where we got to see the leaning tower of Pisa which is amazing to see how much it actually leans. This was a great way to see these 3 towns in Tuscany in one day and it was so enjoyable with our guide Sara. We highly recommend this tour and hopefully you get Sara as your guide.
This tour was well planned and we got to see Sienna, San Gimignano and Pisa. We spent just enough time in each place to get a flavour of each town. We also visited a winery in Chianti which included a lunch with a sampling of 4 wines. The food and wine were very good but we felt it was a little rushed. Overall I think it was a good value for what we paid and we got to experience far more than if we had explored on our own. I do want to mention that the tour guide Angie was very passionate, knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver Jon Carlo was excellent and got us safely to and from all of our destinations.
This was an amazing tour on Tuscany in one day--of course, it's Tuscany so it is already beautiful. Hats off to a 10 Star tour guide, Sara, and the professional bus driver, Riccardo. Sara set the tone for a fabulous day--wealth of information, love of Italy, smart, kind, professional, and excellent at keeping a busload of tourists on track. She was amazing and helped us to get the most out of every stop we made that day. So enjoyable and many of us noted it was one of the best tours we have been on. We were tight on visit time and this tour gave us one day to thoroughly enjoy Tuscany!
To me, the best tours are the ones that (a) avoid tourist heavy areas and (b) give you a chance to explore places at your leisure. This tour scores high marks on both points. We were given maps of the cities we would visit with tips on highlights for each destination. Upon arrival, we all went off on our own. Unlike other tours that advertise "free time" this one gave us more than ample opportunity to get the feel of the city. If we needed more guidance, our tour guide, Olivia, was available to help. Olivia was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My wife and I were probably the oldest members of the tour. Olivia was very solicitous of our needs. When we talked, we never felt rushed. In fact, the tour generally never felt hurried. This tour had the pace of a photographic tour where it's expected that people will want to stop in one place and photograph for a while. As leisurely as the pace was, we never fell behind schedule. Kudos to the itinerary and to Olivia's leadership. The tour group is large, on average about 50 people, but don't be put off by that. But for the time on the bus and lunch, it could have been a private tour. Well done, Walkabout and well done, Olivia.
