Too much going on in a three hour trip. Should Have allowed time for people to relax and just hear music or socialize. Food was not good at all and there was not enough tables for everyone to eat on. I felt like there were too many people crammed in the boat and no quick discussion about safety.
We picked this outing thinking it would be targeted towards an adult experience. More suitable for families with small children. This could be cut by one hour as the crew are mostly focused on selling upgrades including tips. Pirat experience is only for about 45 minutes. In between pirat experience you whatch the poor entertainment, lack of creativity and alot of repetition including constant begging for tips. Food was mediocre. We payed for the VIP upgrade which was a waste of money. Best part of this experience was when we got if the ship which was actually verbalized by our waiter. Ichhhh!
When we first arrived, two 50 year olds with no kids, we though this may be too kid-ish for us. Not what we were expecting. We were met on the docks by Charlie a pirate who offered us some upgraded seats.... if we bought a bottle of booze. We really weren't interested in a bottle of booze but the better seats sounded great, so we went along. It was so worth it, we had a great view of the main floor without being too crowded on the main floor. Charlie stuck with us the whole night. He really made the cruise fun. The food was excellent, the open at was nice, the personal attention was great. The evening started with a lot of kids activities, but as the evening went on the kids were so tired they were falling asleep and the parents were coming alive. We joked this was turning into a Rave. Loved all the dancing and the Latin music added a lot to feel like we were in Mexico. The two ships battling was fun and the pirates were climbing over our heads. I would highly recommend this cruise to kids of all ages, even in their 50's. Ask for Charlie!
This was so much fun! After reading some of the negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to have such an enjoyable evening! The food was good and the drinks kept coming the entire night. Our waiter even found us on the dance floor to bring us new drinks, how's that for service?!? Unfortunately it rained the entire time, but they tarped the ship and party went on. I would highly recommend this tour!
