Itinerary

Day 1: BusanUpon arrival in Busan, you’ll be picked up by private vehicle from Gimhae International Airport or Busan Station and transferred to your hotel.
Depending on when you arrive, spend the rest of the day either relaxing at the hotel or exploring the city using recommendations from your driver on things to do and see.
Overnight: 3-star Toyo Koin Hotel or similar in Busan
Day 2: Busan (B, L)Meet your guide after breakfast at your hotel for your full-day tour of Busan, starting with a visit to Yongdusan Park. Located on Yongdusan mountain in downtown Busan, the park boasts gorgeous scenery and a magnificent view from the 423-foot (129-meter) Busan Tower. Take the elevator to the lookout for a view of the sea, or walk with your guide to some of the park’s many monuments and landmarks, such as Palgakjeong (octagonal pavilion), the Busan citizens’ bell pavilion, or a Buddhist temple.
Hop back in your vehicle for a glimpse of Gwangan Bridge en route to Dalmaji-gil, a scenic walkway near Haeundae Beach. Here, breathe in the crisp air as you admire forested pines on Mt Wausan.
After a stop at a ginseng outlet to check out Korea’s famous immune-boosting root, enjoy a traditional Korean lunch at a local restaurant with favorites like bibimbap, a signature rice dish.
Continue on to Gwangbokdong Street, the heart of youth fashion, art and culture in Busan. You’ll have time to explore just a few of the 100 or so shops, which carry items ranging from bargains to luxury goods. You can also just walk along the pleasant street to admire its manicured flowerbeds and sculptures.
Your next stop is UN Memorial Cemetery. The 35-acre (14-hectare) park was established by the United Nations in 1951 to hold the remains of soldiers from 11 countries. See the Main Gate, Memorial Service Hall and Dongnae Patriots Monument before driving to Haedong Yonggungsa, a Buddhist temple situated on the coast of Busan.
First built in the 14th century, the complex offers visitors a look at several landmarks, each overlooking the ocean. Your guide points out the three-story pagoda of four lions, symbolizing joy, anger, sadness and happiness. You may also get to see the Buddhist sanctum housed inside a cave, and descend 108 stairs to see stone lanterns lining the rocky landscape.
The final stop on your route is Dongbaek Island (aka Dongbaekseom). Cross a bridge to check out the rocky promontory where camellias, evergreens and dongbaek trees thrive. See the Haeundae Carved Stone, a statue located at the island’s southern end, and view the 8-foot-high (2.5-meter) statue of a mermaid on your way to Haeundae Beach.
Your day tour ends with drop-off at your hotel, where you’re free to enjoy the rest of your time.
Overnight: 3-star Toyo Koin Hotel or similar in Busan
Day 3: Busan (B)After breakfast at your hotel, explore the city on your own if you have any free time before your flight or train departure. After checkout, you’ll be transferred by provided transport back to Gimhae International Airport or Busan Station.
