What You Can Expect

Budapest Wine Tasting Cruise

Taste some delicious Hungarian bio wines on your sightseeing cruise

Your host will meet you in central Budapest before leading you to the boat awaiting you on the Danube. Head to upper deck for fresh air or take a seat by the large viewing windows of the deck down below.

As you take off along the water, you’ll be poured seven complimentary Hungarian wines. Each tasting promises the flavourful notes from the country’s best organic winemakers, including Tier Tokaj or Szajki, produced without additives.

As you sip and sample, look out to enjoy the view of Budapest’s panorama. You’ll see the majestic domes of the Gellért Baths, the Parliament Building and the regal glow of the Royal Palace. Snap some photos as you sail under the Chain Bridge, and spot additional landmarks like the arcade of Fisherman’s Bastion and the Citadel. Then continue to wine taste, cleansing your palette with a serving of Hungarian snacks, included with this ticket.

After you've sampled all seven wines, you’re welcome to purchase additional drinks on board. Sweet dessert wines are available, among others. Then make your final toast as the boat returns to land at its original departure point.

Relaxing tour and seeing the river by night, great wines and an explanation of each during the tasting. Very Good.

The pickup and drop off was great! Drop off service is much needed as they do not hold back on the drinks. Very generous pours...I mean full glasses of 7 wines. The views were fantastic! Best view was on the first turn so be on deck for great photo opportunities.

I sat with some very nice Canadians who took me under their wing, as I was a solo traveler. It was a beautiful evening on the Danube, the wine was excellent and I had a very enjoyable evening. I would highly recommend this tour from Viator.

We loved this cruise. Budapest at night is gorgeous. The wine tasting is relaxing and enjoyable. However, the show stopper was the violinist trio! The lead violinist is unbelievably gifted with his talent. I would highly recommend this cruise.

This beautiful cruise on the Danube while tasting wines from Hungary was great fun. We watched the sun go down and the then the lighted buildings along the river. If we had any comment, other than fabulous it would be that there was too much wine! What a delightful evening.

Separating Buda and Pest is the world-famous Danube River, going through the capitals of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and more.
What better way to end the evening on our last night here than to take a river cruise while wine-tasting the Hungarian whites and reds and enjoying the beautiful city. The wines and conversation poured endless, music was played live beside our table, and we finally tasted the must-try Hungarian goulash and chicken paprikash. Everything feels like a dream...

I HIGHLY recommend this wine cruise. We tried 7-8 wines with generous pours. The cruise was beautiful and well-organized. We were able to buy a bottle and some snacks during the cruise, as well. The wait staff were friendly and funny.

We were picked up at our hotel by a cab they organized, and then picked up and dropped off at a bar we wanted to check out.

This was definitely a highlight of the trip!
