Meet your guide and small group of up to 12 people in central Beijing and set out to explore the capital on foot. Start by strolling down vibrant Wang Fu Jing Street, famous for its trendy shopping boutiques. Continue down Wang Fu Jing Snack Street, a street food hotspot, where your guide will point out traditional foods and unique local delicacies, then pause to admire the striking Joseph's Cathedral.
Next, hop on the subway (tickets included) to Lama Temple Station, and take in three of the city’s architectural wonders – the Lama Temple, the Confucius Temple, and the Guo Zi Jian imperial college.
Continue by subway to Gu Lou Da Jie, a lively hutong neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants, and shops. After tucking into lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant, hop aboard for a thrilling rickshaw ride around the historic neighborhood, passing landmarks such as the Drum Tower & Bell Tower, the Yandai Xiejie canal, and Yinding Bridge.
Your tour ends in Gu Lou Da Jie around 3pm.
