*OUTLINEShimokita Peninsula is home to Japanese monkeys designated as a natural monument. It is the northernmost natural habitat for monkeys anywhere in the world. Why not go on an adventure in search of the rare wild monkeys? Tour includes an adventure in the mountain and the lecture on how to find moneys and the way of living with the monkeys in this region. After the tour, you will get an certificate for joining the investigation team for monkeys in the Shimokita Peninsula.After getting a lecture on the ecology and possible habitat of the monkeys, let's depart for the mountains by car. Have a tea break to taste the rare Apios (aka potato bean) from Sai-mura. On a snowy day, you can enjoy snow trekking. After the investigation, it's time for lunch. Enjoy onigiri (rice balls) with Sai-mura's sea urchin, salmon flake, and nori seaweed with warm miso soup. You will get a certificate showing the attendance of the investigation on the northernmost monkeys.
