Brookgreen Gardens Tours

1 Review
With romantic statues, native fauna and flora, and more than 9,200 acres (3,680 hectares) of green space, the Brookgreen Gardens make up an oasis in South Carolina. Established in 1931, the gardens are now a national historic landmark with the world’s most significant collection of figurative sculpture in a garden setting.

The mix of sculpture, gardens and wildlife is a heady combination. As you take a wander around the landscaped grounds, there are 1,444 sculptures to look out for, from flute-playing centaurs to winged cupids. The wildlife here includes butterflies, alligators, owls, foxes, otters and deer. The gardens feature 250-year-old live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, along with rose gardens and a dogwood garden.
