Set against the backdrop of the Pocono Mountains, Camelbeach Mountain is a uniquely scenic waterpark and a place to have fun and take a break from the summer sun. The outdoor and indoor parks have 37 different rides and pools from which to enjoy the cool water, with varying levels of adventure and speed. Rides are divided into categories including thrill, family, and kids rides —and that’s in addition to the park’s adventure zone and zip line. There are both tube slides and body slides, as well as a lazy river and a lagoon for more relaxed swimming.
Families can enjoy multi-person raft rides together, or lounge poolside in a cabana. The park also has the country’s only duo bowl slide. With miniature tipping buckets, water slides, and sprinklers, kids find the themed water areas (suited for younger ages) particularly enjoyable.
Camelbeach is the only water park in Pennsylvania.
As a part of the larger Camelback Mountain Resort, the waterpark can be found in Pennsylvania countryside. Located just off of Interstate 80, Camelbeach is a short drive from both New York City and Philadelphia. Open late May to early September, it is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm (hours vary at start and end of the season.) Admission is $41.99 for adults and $31.99 for children and seniors. Free parking is available with a shuttle service, and food is served at the park.
