With three days to spend in Marne-la-Vallée, it can be tempting to enjoy every waking moment at Disneyland Paris, but the fashion-forward suburb also makes a great base for touring Paris or indulging in a spot of shopping.
Day 1: Meet your favorite characters at Disneyland
With one day to take in the highlights, stick to the main Disneyland Park, where you can meet and greet with all your favorite characters, watch the spectacular Disney parades and brave rides like Space Mountain: Mission 2, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and Peter Pan's Flight. Be sure to stop for lunch and seek out some unique souvenirs in the Disney Village too.
Day 2: Chateaux and shopping
Shuttle buses run from Disneyland to the nearby sights and shopping centers, so make an early start for a trip to the magnificent residence and gardens of the Chateau de Champs-sur-Marne. Next up are some of France’s top shopping destinations, so get your credit card ready – La Vallée Village, a designer outlet where you’ll find discounted items from brands like Diane Von Furstenberg, Guess, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors, and the huge Val d'Europe, which also boasts a food court, a giant Auchan supermarket and an aquarium.
Day 3: Paris day trip
With kids in tow, you’ll likely be persuaded to spend another day at Disneyland and tour the Walt Disney Studios Park, but if it’s your first time in the capital, you can’t miss a visit to Paris. Take a day tour and check off top attractions like the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Champs-Elysées and the Notre Dame Cathedral, followed by a scenic cruise along the Seine or a trip to top of the iconic Eiffel Tower.
