Liberty State Park Tours

This revitalized urban area in Jersey City is a departure spot for ferries bound for both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Once a major industrial area and railroad site, the land here has always been crucial for arrivals both into New York City and New York Harbor. Incredible views of the New York City skyline, the Hudson River, and the Statue of Liberty can be seen from the thousand acre green park.

Walk, bike, or jog along the many paths, or relax with a picnic and enjoy the natural surroundings. Liberty Walk is a two mile promenade looping around the park, while Freedom Way cuts through the center. Fishing, boating, and kayaking in the river is also available, or opt visit the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, which was once a major transportation hub for the state. Another must-see within the park is the “Empty Sky” 9/11 Memorial honoring those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
