Alausí, is a canton with deep contrasts that enclose all climates and landscapes. Due to its color and beauty it was declared Cultural Heritage of Ecuador and Tourist Tourist City. In addition, it has the nose of the Devil, monumental work of architecture on the railway, and one of the attractions most visited by tourists.Alausí is known as the city of the "five estates": railway, cultural, natural, archaeological and agricultural. In its jurisdiction are the 35 lagoons of the Ozogoche system. It has archaeological attractions, such as the Inca Trail and the petrified shells in Santa Rosa de Chicho Negro.
