Greenfield Village Tours

Together with the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Detroit is part of the largest indoor and outdoor museum complex in the United States. Covering an area of more than 80 acres, this vast site takes visitors on a journey through seven historic districts as it immerses them in 300 years of America’s past.

There are 83 authentic historic structures, from the farmhouse where Henry Ford grew up and the building where Abraham Lincoln practiced law, to Thomas Edison’s lab and the Wright Brothers’ workshop. Along the way, visitors can take a ride on a steam-powered locomotive or perhaps a Model T, or get involved with the working farms, candle-holder making, or learn glass-blowing techniques. There’s also 1867 baseball to watch and lunch from an 1850's menu to enjoy.
