The Ulster Museum's artfully arranged collection is matched by its impressive neo-classical building. The displays range through Irish history from the Stone and Bronze Age to the present day.
Along the way you'll find gold and silver jewellery from Armada shipwrecks, an Egyptian mummy, meteorites, dinosaurs, British portrait painting and one of the museum's most popular exhibits, Peter the Polar Bear.

The Ulster Museum is near the Botanic Gardens. If you were ambling, the walk from the city center would take you about half an hour. You can catch the Metro 8 Malone Road bus from Donegall Square East in the city center - it stops by the side of the museum.
